The pleasant ambience compliments fine delicacies at Lazeez Affaire (LA), a refined specialty Mughlai restaurant inside the sprawling TDI mall in Rajouri Garden. The brand's flagship/first multicuisine outlet is located at south Delhi's posh Malcha Marg that started operations in 2004.

The LA's owner Y P Ashok (also running the Mughal restaurant) has replicated the popular platter, thus far available at the Malcha Marg branch recently at the TDI mall eatery that began in February this year (2009). This sprawling offshoot at the TDI mall is a 92-covers arrangement and is open from 12 to midnight; serves alcohol and accepts all major credit cards. The appetizers here, feature a multitude of tantalizing Kakori Kababs, Lasuni Tikka and Murg Achari tikka to name a few, while the vegetarian ones include Paneer Shashlik, Dahi Kebab and Vegetable Seekh Kebab. The good news is that this brand is on a roll and will soon have three new restaurants to be located at M-block Greater Kailash-II, Noida Sector-18 and at Faridabad.

The main course prominently features the Dal Lazeez (Dal Makhani) alongside other variants of lentils that are worth trying. The Dhingri Lazeez is touted to be the chef's speciality and is highly recommendable. Undeniably, the Murg Mussalam and Murg Hyderabadi win hands down among the diners' favourite dishes. The refined taste of preparations beckons you to keep ordering for more; importantly, the service is courteous and the waiters are pleasant and bilingual. The elaborate non-vegetarian repertoire boasts of dum biryani that is served in its vegetarian avatar as well.. A second look at the menu and your senses will crave to order some more.

The good news is that this restaurant is on an expansion mode. As its general manager Rakesh Lakher asserts, "Within this year, we will have three new restaurants to be located at M-block Greater Kailash-II, Noida Sector-18 and at Faridabad." He explained, "The locations were chosen keeping in mind that the LA is widely spread out and can be reached conveniently by all the discerning Mughlai food lovers.  It seems Lazeez Affair's romance with the food diehard in the national capital region (NCR) is all set to go places. Literally!
