BLACKBERRY GIN FIZZ

A fun drink made of a blackberry puree and gin will keep you fresh throughout. It's gorgeous and full of fruit and gin fizzes. Put your feet up, relax, and enjoy this refreshing fizzy drink with plenty of ice on a hot summer day!
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Yields: 8 servings
INGREDIENTS
6oz container blackberries
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups gin
1 cup fresh lime juice
Club soda
8 sprigs Thai basil or sweet basil
METHOD
1. Puree the berries and sugar in a blender.
2. Strain the purée through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher and discard seeds.
3. Put 1/3 cup puree, lime juice, gin, and mint leaves into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and shake until cold.
4. Pour into glasses.
5. Garnish with berries and mint sprigs and top with soda.
