Bars are persistently experimenting with the versatile cocktail. Fruit may be used, and the drink may be mixed with ice in a blender, but it should always be made fresh. Rum & lime denominate the drink. The 'real' Daiquiri is simple beyond belief and the ingredients should have a balance in the glass. If your Daiquiri is too tart, add more sugar. If it is too sweet, add more lime. Your personal taste determines as to how you take your Daiquiri.

Preparation Time: 3 minutes

Total Time: 3 minutes

Yield: 1 Cocktail

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 ounces light rum

• 1 oz limes

• 1 tsp powdered sugar

Preparation:

1. Pour the light rum, lime juice and sugar into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.

2. Shake all ingredients with ice.

3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, if your glass is not chilled, do so by placing some crushed ice in it and set it aside while you prepare the cocktail  & serve.
