Luxury hotel chain JW Marriott has announced that it will set up ten new properties across five countries in 2010, including three in India, entailing a total investment of over USD two billion, says a PTI report. The properties will come up in China, Colombia, India, Turkey and the US, bringing the total global portfolio of the brand to 54 hotels and resorts with 24,000 rooms. In India, the hotels will come up in Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Chennai later this year. The brand will set up a luxury hotel in Benglauru with 250 rooms close to the city’s commercial centre. It will house recreational amenities like a night club, spa, swimming pool and a fitness centre.
